Ofsted September 2023
Harrow High has another Good OFSTED inspection
OFSTED visited Harrow High School on 28 and 29 September 2023 and have confirmed that, yet again, it remains a good school.
The final report highlights that the school is "safe and nurturing" where there are "high expectations of pupils’ behaviour", resulting in a "respectful, calm and orderly environment".
The report continues; "Pupils display a positive approach towards their learning" and "leaders have high expectations for pupils' achievement and aim to encourage excellence for all throughout the curriculum."
Pupils’ personal development is also identified as a "strength of the school". OFSTED also say that "pupils take part in an extensive range of extra-curriculum activities and visits. They enjoy this part of school life. They receive detailed and helpful career guidance. All these strengths make Harrow High School a happy and supportive place to be."
The headteacher, Paul Gamble commented, "This inspection and the outcome report confirms just how far we have come together in transforming Harrow High School into a truly excellent centre of learning. We are especially delighted with the excellent positive feedback OFSTED received from learners, parents and staff. The high regard which all stakeholders have for the school is excellent validation of our work. As ever, we will continue to strive to become even better at delivering our vision of ‘excellence for all."
For anyone who wishes to learn more or is considering choosing Harrow High for their children, school tours are available at 9.30am Monday to Thursday and can be booked by contacting the school on 0208 861 7300.
This report comes shortly after Harrow High School was revealed to be one of the eight Harrow secondary schools whose performance is in the top tier of the Department for Education performance tables, having secured a progress score of +0.52. Read more about that at Harrow Online.
