Year 8 Hope Street Workshops

This week, all of our learners from Year 8 had a workshop exploring empathy and understanding of the experience of displaced people and immigrants. Each tutor group worked with four specialists from Unique Youth Theatre to create pieces which reflect the human stories at the centre of disturbing images and headlines. Using the idea of how established communities can be broken down and relocated by 'officials', there was much debate, critical thinking with some superb performances and monologues throughout.
