Important Update 31.12.20 - Changes to return to school date
Following the government’s announcement last night, schools will be required to make changes to the staggered start dates for the Spring term. This is to help control the spread of COVID-19, and allow schools to set up mass testing. This will impact learners at Harrow High in the following way:
Learners in Years 11, 12 and 13 should not attend school in person until Monday 11th January. From Monday 4th January, they instead should follow their normal timetable from home through attending live online lessons and tutor sessions via Google Classroom. Please note that tutor sessions will be at 8:50 am for all year groups.
Learners in Years 7, 8, 9, & 10 should not attend school in person until Monday 18th January. From Monday 4th January, they instead should follow their normal timetable from home through attending live online lessons and tutor sessions via Google Classroom. Please note that tutor sessions will be at 8:50 am for all year groups.
All learners have been given training on learning remotely, and you can find detailed information about our remote learning provision, together with FAQs, on the school’s website. Please use the following link to access it:

We understand that some learners require the loan of a device. Most of those learners will have been allocated one if they need it. If, however, your child has not received a device and you now require one, please contact their Head of Year on Monday 4th January.
Online registration will be taken by form tutors and subject teachers. Attendance will be monitored as it would be normally in school, and parents contacted if learners are absent.
If learners have any difficulties accessing remote learning they should immediately contact their respective Head of Year or their assistant:

Vulnerable learners and children of key workers will be able to access provision in school. The school has already contacted learners who we believe fall into these categories. However, if you believe this applies to you please let us know via e-mail.
We apologise for these changes, and understand that it may cause worry. Please be reassured that your child’s safety and wellbeing is, and always has been, our priority. With this in mind, I will be writing to you next week with further information on the roll out of COVID-19 mass testing in school.
At the end of the Autumn Term, Year 11 were learning from home, and we were very proud of how well they not just managed themselves, but how they thrived and continued their learning. Attendance to most classes was 95% and above, and I am confident that the rest of the school will rise to these new challenges with gusto!
